Darlynn Barton Obituary
Funeral services for Darlynn Barton will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the Harmony Baptist Church of Glenmora with Reverend Brian Johnson and Reverend Robert Rollins officiating. Committal service will follow in the Peniel Cemetery of Calcasieu under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Darlynn, 58, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center of Alexandria. She was born January 28, 1957 in Lecompte to Cecil John and Ruth Lee West Thacker. "The Lord has taken a beautiful angel to come home and to share his Glory and wait for us in Paradise." Darlynn was a Baptist by Faith, a homemaker, and loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: two sons, Trent (Sheri) Barton and Allen (Sara) Barton all of Angola; two daughters, Mandy (Joey) Reagan of Angola and Kandy (Chris) Dousay of Alexandria; one brother, Jackie (Dean) Thacker of Cotile; one sister, Jeanette (Randall) Brady of Glenmora; ten grandchildren, Drake, Jackson, Mary Claire, John Fisher, Landon, Kallie, Brock, Ruthie, Tucker, and Meko; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Trent Barton, Allen Barton, Joey Reagan, Chris Dousay, Randall Brady, Jr., and Jock Thacker. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Drake, Landon, Tucker, John Fisher, Brock, and Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 6 p.m. until service time on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 3 p.m. in Harmony Baptist Church.
