REGER, Anthony Bernard, 96, of Henrico, passed away January 4, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine H. Reger. He will be remembered for his contentment of life, keen sense of humor and dedication to a yard full of flowers. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy and the then newly formed "Sea Bees." He was retired from Merita Bakery. He is survived by two sons, Gerald F. Reger "Jerry" of Kingsland, Texas, and Anthony H. Reger "Buddy" of Mathews, N.C; one daughter, Sharon Grubbs of Hamilton, N.C.; five grandchildren, Michael Reger, Douglas Grubbs, Raymond Grubbs, Robin Sims and Ashley Reger; and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will begin with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A graveside service will be held 12 noon Thursday at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
