Raynelle,
I didn't know David, but I know you, and for your love to be shared...he must have been quite a man. I just learned of your loss; wish I could talk with you. Have no idea if you'll ever get this message but I am sorry for your loss and am wishing you the best.

I worked with Dave for many years overnight at Capital One. He was always full of jokes making the long nights at work fly by with laughter. Dave will truly be missed! Dave touched so many people of us with his kindness; which has enriched our lives forever.

To Dave's family,
I worked as Dave's dispatcher while he was with us at James City County. We hated to see him go,he was so full of life and kept us in stitches. I have thought of him often and will remember him as one of my all time favorite officers.God bless and treasure your memories.

My heart goes out to all of David's family and friends. It was both an honor and a pleasure to have work with him at MWC PD. He was not only a GREAT Police Chief but a good friend. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Very saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Some great memories of working with him on overnight shift years ago. I remember one awesome night when he and I left work early due to a snow storm and took turns spinning doughnuts in our trucks in the parking lot. Dave was an great mentor at work and just an all around awesome guy. You can't be sad though cause you know Dave is in a better place now on his bike with his face in the wind. Good to know you Dave, take it easy bud, ride on.

Several years ago Dave took me for a ride on his bike. It was 2am when we pulled out of the parking lot. Fog hung low over the streets, it was cold and we were the only people on the road. The cold air was biting into my hands by the time we turned onto Broad St but it was great feeling sitting on the back of that bike. Because of that one ride I spent 8 years persuading my wife to allow me to have a bike of my own. I never had the chance to tell him that she finally gave in. Dave, you will be missed.

Dear Raynelle, I wish there was something I could say to ease the pain of your loss. I am so sad for you right now. Dave is now out of pain and in a better place than we are. His sight is now perfect and can now ride his motorcycle without any boundaries. I know his faith was strong. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and may God bless you and yours during this time. Love Penni, Dean, & Ian

Raynelle, Brian and Jeanne,
I am very sorry for your loss. I know Dave fought the battle for a long, long time but I also know that he had fantastic, loving people around him taking excellent care of him. Now he can do all the thing he's always wanted to with no limitations, and he will certainly be watching over all of you too and never really out of your lives.

To the family of David,
May you continue to cherish the special moments shared. Remember the good times and laughter that David brought about. I had the pleasure of knowing David during his time spent with Capital One...and there was never a dull moment. He kept us laughing with his humorous stories and life experiences that he loved to share! I also had the honor of having him to install a tool shed for me and the entire time we put it up together, he was full of jokes. He was a lovely person at heart and was always gratified to help others. He will truly be missed. My sincerest condolences go out to you. I will keep you in prayer; as you endure the loss of this special child of God.
