GROSS, Dennis "Denny" Gerard, 52, unexpectedly departed this life August 4, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, James Gross. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Vaughan Gross; daughter, Cathryne "Katie" Gross; mother, Modesta Gross; two brothers, Kevin Gross, Shawn Gross and wife, Barbara; two sisters, Susan Gross Brumfield and husband, Dale, and Julie Gross Traylor and husband, Jeff; four nephews, James Gross, Hunter and Jackson Brumfield, Michael Traylor; two nieces, Hollis Brumfield and Kaylee Traylor. Denny was an avid fisherman and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, August 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 6006 Three Chopt Road, Richmond, Va. 23226. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Chesapeake Bay Foundation, attention Membership Foundation, 6 Herndon Ave., Annapolis, Md. 21403.

Denny and I worked together for years and my memories go back for decades. I will truly miss him. I hope you find comfort through these messages from his friends.

Sandra and Katie, it is with sadness that we send this gesture of condolences. We will always remember our visit with Denny on the sun deck in our backyard. He always gave us an update on his wife and daughter as well as the fishing on the Chesapeak Bay. Our last visit was a conversation about his daughter who he was so proud of-
he could not believe that she was looking for a college and a highlight was that she was one of the fourth of July Beaverdam parade queens.
We are sorry that we will not be attending his memorial service due to
traveling out of state. As you cross this milestone in your life, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Your Beaverdam neighbors, Jimmy and Elaine West
