Wed--this note from David Booth to my son Fred Jr. Jack made a real impression when I was a kid. My father just died and Jack, along with Myra, were rather attentive to me. He coached me in baseball and football at Hotchkiss Field and Ginter Park. He was my father at all the father-son banquets the rec. dept would hold at the end of the sports seasons. We lost contact over the years. But, that doesn't dull the momories I have of Jack.

Jack and I were in the same class at Chandler Jr. High and became good friends playing basketball together. He was a amazing basketball player and was good at most any sport he played. He never let anything keep him from competeing. We reconnected when I started playing golf at Belmont and he was the starter. Always looked forward to joking and talking about old times and friends with him before my round. I will miss, but never forget, his friendship and sense of humor. My sincere condolences to his family.

Beth, David and families,
I too was one of the fortunate people to work for and know your Dad, Grandparent. I learned so much from you father that I can not list it all. The most important thing I learned is that he treated people like he wanted to be treated regardless of the situation, and I try to do that as well. Jack will be missed but I will never forget him.

Dear Beth,
I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. We spent a couple summers years vacationing together at Massanetta Springs and your dad could always make my dad laugh like no one else could! He was always a nice man to me when we would see him on trips to Richmond. It is so hard to lose our dads, when they were such a loving part of our lives. May God bless and carry you and treasure your memories.

Dear Howell Family, I had the privilege of knowing Jack thru my association on Henrico Parks & Rec. Advisory Commision. He always made me laugh. He was a loving, caring gentelman. Wrap yourselves in the wonderful memories you have. Jack is on a golfcart in Heaven now, having a blast.

Ann and I enjoyed working with Jack first in the city and then in Henrico. He was always a gentleman and one who loved what he was doing. The game of softball and many other recreational activities were beneficiaries of his efforts.

Jack was my little league summer baseball coach at Ginter Park School. We ALL loved him. When my father passed away at an early age, Jack was gracious enough to be my stand-in father at all the father-son banquets I was lucky enough to be invited to. He influenced me positively...and I needed him! Rest in peace, Coach.

Jack, good friends are forever! That's what you have been for many years; from our days on the basketball floor at John Marshall High School; our many years together in softball, and the last several years on golf courses around Richmond, especially Belmont. You will be missed.

Jack, we go way back to when we were little growing up in Barton Heights. You were my brother's best friend (Aubray Tignor) and you spent a lot of time at our house. Little sister had to come and get you two for dinner EVERY night from the J.E.B. Stuart Elem. School's playground. GOOD TIMES. Rest in peace good friend and
I'll see you by and by.

Jack- I know you are out there somewhere lining up a putt. A cigarette stuck out the side of your mouth. And just waiting for the money to add up so you can take those golf angels money. Paul, Lewis and I will still play on Monday and I will be looking for you on Saturday. Save a spot for us because we want some of that golf angels money too. Your bud, Quinto P.S. Mrs. Quinto says hi.
