Kunnen (Jim) of Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren, Neil Scott Headley, Catherine Jean VanDyke (Peter), David Ryan Kunnen (Renee), Lisa Ann Kunnen, Dorothy Jean Allen and Peter Woodward Allen; and two great-grandchildren, Carter Paul VanDyke and Alyssa Jean VanDyke. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Salisbury Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow. A private burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan, Va. For their exceptional care, the family wishes to thank the staff of Chippenham Hospital, Hospice of Virginia, Dr. W. We were young neighbors of Jean and Paul, in Martinsville, Va., in the late 50's. Our children played together, living right next door. Jean was a wonderful mother and wife. I remember her teaching me how to use the exact amount of Thyme for my beef stew. We moved away and lost contact.
I was Joan Irwin Yeager, in those days.
Widowed, now, Joan Irwin Osmalov, living here in Midlothian.
