WHITEHEAD, Joel Arron, of Richmond, entered eternal life November 2, 2009. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ruthell Vaught Whitehead; stepdaughter, Lakicia Vaught; three grandchildren, Destiny Jackson, Bre'Anna Vaught and Amira Vaught; one brother, Carlton Whitehead; one aunt, Gladys Whitehead; mother-in-law, Pansy Vaught; a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. at the Brunson's Funeral Chapel, 1st and Federal Streets. Pastor Marvin Jefferson officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Robert M. Brunson Sr. and Jr., directors.

What I remember very vividly is the quiet kindness and beautiful smile that Joel possessed. He was one of the good guys and I know he will be missed tremendously.

Thomas Jefferson Class of '80 has lost another valuable classmate. "Rooster" as we all know was a kind and dear friend. We will miss you deeply. We will keep your family in our prayers. We loved you but God loved you best so enjoy your fellowship with the Master as you take your rest.
