Dearest Sierra & Erica,
Our family was DEEPLY saddened when Amber called with this news....Mercy~ you both have to know that you are in my heart, thoughts, & prayers during this difficult time. There aren't any words that can express my sorrow. Your father fought a tough fight & he is indeed at rest. I love you BOTH very much...right from when I met you when you as freshman in HS. Girls, continue to remain close to God & to each other...remember ALL that your precious mother and father have taught you throughout the years.

From the Bullock family to the Barfield family! Words cannot espress the fullness of my heart right now. All I know is there is a void in the place Johnnie used to hold! He was always kind and loving to me and he will be missed. I pray that his children will forever remember that their father loved them very much and he only wanted what was best for them. May he rest and abide in the bosom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

My family wishes to extend our deepest sympathies for your loss. Mr. Barfield was a joy to have for a neighbor and I can't tell you how often I said a prayer for him. Just know that I am right next door and if there is anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask.

I was so sorry and saddened to hear about Johnnie. I really enjoyed working with him at the Hopewell Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
