Well Judi, Christmas has come and gone...it was our first holiday without you. It was hard! I kept turning around to see you sitting at the head of the kitchen table at Kevin's house..., but you weren't there. You weren't peeling potatoes or making the dressing. We weren't stepping over your oxygen line or hearing you say "somebody had better check whatever is in the oven, so as not to burn it!"
19 years ago today, you received the most wonderful gift in your life, your first grandchld, Kendahl. You were on cloud 9 at Chippenham Hospital. This is her first birthday without you. You left us exactly 4 weeks ago today and she is having a very hard time. We had a Birthday dinner for her and I didnt realize it at first, but we used the same pink candles on her cake that we just used on yours September 22, only we couldn't light them because of the oxygen and the fact you were in the hospital. Those were the most wonderful candles and she blew them all out. If I had to guess, I would say that she wished you were here with us! We all would. But she knows you are free of pain and can breathe so deep now! You would be so proud of her too, she has a 4.0 GPA her first semester of college! Her grades include nothing less than a 96. Aha, you're smiling now aren't you? Your grandsons are also getting A's and B's. Still smiling!
Thank You for being the best Grandma and "Momma" I will always love and miss you! Cheryl

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I am truly sorry to hear that the world has lost one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, unselfish, caring and giving Angels ever put on this earth. I know God took her back for a mission in heaven that only she could acomplish. I know she will always be looking over my shoulder to help guide me along the way as she did here on earth. I will always be greatful to this Angel for coming into my life. Now she will live in my heart.
