A special thank you to all
Our family greatly appreciates all your prayers during our time of grief.
“Grandma” you will most certainly be missed!! You exhibited the kindness and lovingness that I strive to replicate and your laughter was so contagious. You held my hand as I grew up and then came time for me to hold yours. I know that your work here with us is done and you’re at PEACE but your memories will most certainly live for years to come.
To my extended family and friends may we continue to pray and uplift one another.

I first met Lillian Washington back in the late 1970's. In 1988, Lillian came to work for me by caring for my Mother who was quite ill. I chose to ask Lillian to help with the care of my Mom because I wanted someone VERY special & someone whom I knew I could trust to provide exactly what my Mom needed. My Mom grew to love Lillian & was happiest on those days when Lillian would be at our home. I shall ALWAYS be thankful to Lillian for the
love & care that she gave to my Mom & for creating an atmosphere for my Mom that helped my Mom feel better & have a
better day - because " Lillian is coming today. " : )
Through the years,Lillian & I continued
to share a beautiful & meaningful friendship. After my Mother passed away,Lillian continued to work for me until she decided to retire - for the second time - in early 2000's. We continued to remain in frequent telephone contact. Our friendship had grown to be strong & trusting for each of us. We always enjoyed a good laugh
together.
I always considered Lillian to be a godly Lady - a Lady with class - a Lady who was a devoted Christian. She shared that part of herself just by being in one's presence. She was a beautiful Lady - a Lady who thought of other's needs before she thought of herself.
Upon learning about Lillian's death, I was deeply heart-broken - I knew that I had lost the greatest friend I had ever known. There would be no more telephone chats. No more greeting cards to each other. I am devasted by this loss - but I am so thankful to God for letting me know Lillian for the time we did share together.
May you - her Family & Friends - be comforted by the fact that we know that
God gently held Lillian in His arms on Saturday & when it was time - He gently
lifted her up & carried her to her Heavenly Home. " In my House are many mansions... " Lillian has now taken her place in one of those rooms that she has always prayed God would have for her. She is with her Heavenly Father & is now free of all sickness &
worry & struggle. She is healed. She now knows a happiness such as she never could imagine existed - but exists only in her Heavently Home.
May God Bless you & comfort you in the weeks & days ahead knowing that Lillian
is now at Peace & that she will always remain in the hearts of those of us who
loved her most. I thank God for letting
me know such a beautiful Friend - for I
am a better person because of having known Lillian Washington.
May God Bless,
Pam Martin
