Mary Hawkins Obituary

HAWKINS, Mary Tuggle, 95, of Victoria, Va., died December 8, 2009. She was the widow of Cecil Thomas Hawkins. Mrs. Hawkins taught home economics at Victoria High School, was an area Avon representative, and a devoted homemaker. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Joy Hawkins; one grandson, Kyle Hawkins, all of Crewe; one sister, Helen T. Littlepage of Mascot, Va.; and one brother, Dr. William E. Tuggle of Virginia Beach; two nephews, and five nieces. She was an active member of the Victoria Green Thumb Garden Club and a member of the Victoria United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Victoria United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 547, Victoria, Va. 23974, or to Victoria Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box "T" Victoria, Va. 23974.

So sorry to read about your mother this evening. She had a long life and a wonderful son. Wish I could be there with you and your family to share some good memories, but cannot make it. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
