Mary Hawkins

HAWKINS, Mary Tuggle, 95, of Victoria, Va., died December 8, 2009. She was the widow of Cecil Thomas Hawkins. Mrs. Hawkins taught home economics at Victoria High School, was an area Avon representative, and a devoted homemaker. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Joy Hawkins; one grandson, Kyle Hawkins, all of Crewe; one sister, Helen T. Littlepage of Mascot, Va.; and one brother, Dr. William E. Tuggle of Virginia Beach; two nephews, and five nieces. She was an active member of the Victoria Green Thumb Garden Club and a member of the Victoria United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria.
