Mary McKAIG Obituary

MCKAIG, Mary Jane Sprouse , 86, of Hopewell, went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 21, 2011. She is the widow of Bill McKaig Sr.; and is also preceded in death by her sister, Julia Daughtry. She is survived by her sons, Billy McKaig, and his wife, Cathy; Bob McKaig, and his wife, Rene; granddaughters, Janet Pollock and Tracey McKaig; grandson, Jamie McKaig and his wife, Stephanie; brother, Wayne Sprouse, and his wife, Earlene; two great-grandchildren; close friend, Ray Hensley; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other beloved family and friends. Mrs. McKaig retired from Dr. Ed Henry's dental office as a dental assistant after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a member of West End Presbyterian Church for more than 80 years. She was a member of AARP and a number of other senior citizen groups. She also loved volunteering at the West End School. A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday October 25, 2011 at West End Presbyterian Church, (Hopewell, Va.) with family greeting friends one hour prior. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to West End School, 1600 Atlantic Street Hopewell Va. 23860.
