SMITH, Oscar F. Sr., of Richmond, departed this life November 30, 2009. He is survived one daughter, Kristen Smith; one son, Oscar Smith Jr.; one grandson, Shaun Smith; one sister, Mabel White; one brother, Maurice (Cecil) Smith; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Renita Smith; one sister-in-law, Diane Smith; and other relatives and friends, among them a lifetime partner and friend, Joyce Smith. Memorial services will be held Sunday, 1 p.m., at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Family and friends please assemble at the funeral at 12:45 p.m. Sunday. My friend and mentor of a stress free and enjoyable life, I will miss our deep talks of agreements and disagreements.You will be missed by way more people then you ever thought friend.Oscar you always told me "it is what it is" well friend it is now that I feel sad now.I will miss you but not never forget you.
