Remigia L. Pablo, dearly known by many as "Inang," 92, of Vallejo, passed away peacefully, Oct. 2, 2010.
Remigia was born on Oct. 1, 1918 in Tarlac, Philippines. She immigrated to America in 1977, and has resided in the San Francisco Bay Area ever since.
Remigia was a talented seamstress. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. As a strong and caring woman figure in the family, she helped raise two generations of grandchildren over three decades.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sixto Pablo; parents, Barbara Valdez and Lorenzo Lucquiao, and daughter, Erlinda Locquiao.
Remigia is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Roberto) Mabutas; son-in-law, Jorge Locquiao; eight grandchildren, Imelda (Adolfo) Beltran, Jocelyne (Toribio) Domine, Juelly Anne (Emilio) Gracia, Mary Jane Locquiao, Juliet (David) Oliver, Jolinda Locquiao, Roel and Roy Mabutas; 11 great-grandchildren, Irene, Andrea, Andrew, and Irwin Beltran, Riolyne and Robyne Domine, Kristeen, Timothy and Joey Gracia, Caitlin, Camryn and Cristian Oliver and numerous extended family in California, Washington, Canada and the Philippines.
Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, Saturday, Oct. 9 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 10 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with 7 p.m. Vigil service. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m.,
St. Anne's Catholic Church, 32223 Cabello St., Union City. Burial to follow at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery, Hayward.
