Mrs. Ardis B. Benack, 94, formerly of Coaldale, died Monday, May 4, in Weatherly. She was the widow of Charles K. Benack, who died in 1983.
Prior to retiring, she was employed in the cafeteria department for the EMS School System, Minoa, N.Y.
Born in Camillus, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Earl Leonard and Leona (Goodwin) Bower.
She was a member of First Congregational Church, Coaldale, and loved traveling, making friends and doing crafts.
Surviving are two sons, Gary C. of Dayona Beach, FL, and Dr. Wayne, and his wife, Sharon, of Penn Forest Township; three grandchildren, Pastor Jeremy Benack, and his wife, Vicki, of Lansford, Pastor Jesse Benack, and his wife, Laura, of Valley View, and Jodi, wife of Michael Mika of Coaldale; 11 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Virginia H. Lee of Springfield, MD, Margaret N. Bower of San Francisco, CA, and Jean D. Milles of Los Angeles, CA.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Service; Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, First Congregational Church, Ruddle St., Coaldale, with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Benack officiating. Interment, Kirkville Cemetery, Kirkville, N.Y.
