DEBORAH PORTER Obituary

Deborah Lee (Ellis) Porter Oct. 11, 1954 B Jan. 20, 2011 Deb was born in Hillsboro, OR and growing up in a military family, lived her early years on bases around the country. She graduated from Clover Park High School in 1972 and later worked for Pierce County Planning & Land Services where she met her husband Bruce in 1984. After retirement in 2008, they wintered in Sun Lakes, AZ. She loved traveling with fellow members of the BBOG's and with family. Deb also enjoyed camping at her favorite places in Cannon Beach and Hood Canal with her dogs and good friends. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 25 years, Bruce, daughter Sumer (Damian), three grandchildren, Kylee, Shane, & Makenna, parents Ken and Freddie Ellis, sisters Kim York and Robin (Doug) Pagel. The family is grateful to Deb's Medical Team and the compassionate caregivers at the UW Medical Center. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P.M on January 29th at the Waller Road Grange, 2708 64th St. E, Tacoma, WA. Donations may be made in Deb's name to your favorite charity.
