Rachael Ciruzzi
Vineland, NJ/ Utica
Rachael (Paciello) Ciruzzi, 71, of Vineland, formerly of Utica, New York passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, with her loved ones by her side. Rachael was born on December 24, 1941, in Utica, and was the daughter of the late James Paciello and Eva (Talerico) Paciello. She attended Utica schools. In 1960, Rachael married the love of her life, Paul Ciruzzi, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years. Rachael was an avid gardener as well as an outstanding cook and baker. She loved to entertain her family and friends at any time day or night. She also loved to travel, especially to Italy where she vacationed with her husband in 2005. Rachael was a member of St. Padre Pio Parish and the St. Mary's School Grandparent's Association. She also loved all of the events sponsored by the Italian Cultural Foundation. One of her passions was to cheer on her granddaughters Lindsay and Lauren as they played for the Sacred Heart High School Lady Lions Softball Team. Rachael also enjoyed her Thursday afternoon card games with a very special group of friends. Besides her husband Paul, Rachael is survived by her devoted daughter, Julie Dwyer, and cherished son-in-law, Dr. Thomas Dwyer, her granddaughters, Lindsay Dwyer and Lauren Dwyer whom she adored, all of Vineland; a beloved sister, Linda Kozak and loving brother-in-law, Eugene Kozak, of Westmoreland, NY. She leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and two special cousins, Carmel Rose Russo and Mary Rose Scalzo. She also leaves a very special cousin, Sister Lois Paciello, her spiritual advisor. And last, but not least, her little Cocker Spaniel Brit-Brit. Church visitations will be held Monday, March 18th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland, immediately followed by a funeral mass. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Pompeii Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice, or to South Jersey Healthcare HospiceCare, PO Box 160, Bridgeton, New Jersey 08302.
