June Stafford Obituary

STAFFORD, JUNE P., 66, passed away September 25th in California.

June was born in Middleborough, MA to William and Gladys Reardon, the youngest of eight girls. She moved from E. Greenwich to Santa Monica, CA with her first husband, Fred Tanner, an Air Force pilot at the time, where they started their family. They traveled throughout the United States and returned to E. Greenwich in 1970. June enjoyed the travel and the challenges of setting up housekeeping in new places. In 1978 she married James Stafford and had her third child. June retired from Foxwoods Casino in 2006 and moved to California.

June truly never met a stranger and leaves behind friends in many places to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband, and two sisters. June was a loving, warm hearted person who is survived by her two daughters and their husbands; Julie and Jeff Baker of California, Kristen (Stafford) and Roy Lautieri of Warwick. She also leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law Fred and Natalie Tanner of California; two grandchildren; Madison and Dalton Tanner: five sisters along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours Friday from 5-7 pm in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., E. Greenwich. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday at 10:00 am in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.

I had the pleasure to work with June at the Branches restaurant at Foxwoods for 7 1/2 years. June once told me "Richard, some people exist in life, others choose to live their life." June certainly did live her life. She will truly be missed.
Godspeed June.
With love,
Richard J. McGill III

I worked with June at Branches Restaurant for 8 years. It comes to a shock to all of us who are still there to hear about her. This was very unexpected. A lot of us were trying so hard to find her after she left Branches. She will be greatly missed. We will keep her and her family in our prayers.
