Manuel Perry Obituary

PERRY, MANUEL, 92, of Tampa St., passed away Sunday at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Philomena (Gerundio) to whom he was married for 69 years.

Born in Warwick, a son of the late Manuel and Alexandrinha (Simas) Perry. He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Mr. Perry was employed primarily at Grinnell Corporation in Cranston for 31 years before retiring. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church, a member of the Portuguese Instruction Club and an avid Red Sox fan.

He was the father of Sandra Marchand, Rosemary Gundler, Manuel H. Perry and the late Joseph E. Perry; brother of Frank Perry and Constance Gauthier; grandfather of twelve and great grandfather of sixteen. He was the brother of the late Anthony, Alfred and John Perry.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Mary Church, Church St., West Warwick. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to American Cancer Society or VNA Care New England in his memory would be appreciated.
