When I first came here in 1984 I really wasnt sure what I was doing.Life was going very fast for me getting married and starting a new life out here in Washington. And coming from the east coast I really felt out of place here. But one day I met Russ and he opened up his family to us, I remember your mom when you guy's invited me to play poker. I never played and soon lost intrest in the game but your Mom made me feel welcomed. I will miss her gift for gab. But I know she left that with all of you. Life is like a garden and only the best flowers get picked.

Russ, Judy and Mr. Roeser,

My folks let me know about this sad news and I wanted you to know how sorry I am about what you must be going through. I remember Mrs. Roeser as being such a great mom to Russ and Judy. And when you were a friend of Russ's, she was just like a mom to you, too. I am sure that I'm just one of many, many people with fond memories of Mrs. Roeser as big-hearted person who was always smiling, and who always made you feel special.

Diane was someone that had touched our lives and made it better just by being in our world. I used to give her a hug and also a hard time because she tried to put forth this tough exterior that I saw through. At times she made me laugh because she actually had some people afraid of her when I knew she was really this kind and sweet woman with a heart of gold. And what topped it off was...she knew I knew and swore me to keep her secret even though anyone that knew her soon found out for themselves. I'm going to miss her...and I hope the cloud of her passing doesn't linger very long, she wouldn't want it to.

Dear Marlowe,

When I saw you and Diane at the ballgame last summer, I wish I had told her how much I respect and love her for what she does for other people. I was so looking forward to my arrival hug at the host luncheon. My sponsorship this year will be dedicated to her memory.

I wish I could be at her service. I'd give you a big hug, and tell you how sorry I am that you lost your best friend. It's hard for me to imagine her not being with you. My heart aches for you about that.

I'll see you at the tourney luncheon, if not before.

I respect and love you for what you do for others.

Love,

Tom

Marlowe,

Diane is going to be missed by the many friends the two of you were involved with from the Lincoln High Reunion, State High School Basketball Tournaments, Nifty-Fifty luncheons and the Puyallup Fair.

We personally are going to miss the conversation and laughs we had with Diane when we would run into her at Costco and of course the joking about it later.

When the "Rat Pack" last saw Bill Rose he asked us to pass on his condolences and let you know he was thinking of you.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time and we extend our deepest smypathies to you and your family.

Marlowe, my heart goes out to you in this difficult time. Every time I saw Diane, she was doing what seemed to come so naturally to her. She was serving people and doing so in a way that made them feel good about themselves. She made people smile, and everyone who had the privilege of seeing the two of your work together could see the devotion that you had to each other. May God bless you and give you a peace during this time that surpasses understanding.

Marlowe & family,

We are shocked and sorrowed to hear of Diane's passing so suddenly. She was so vivacious and energetic with her work at the fair, we would have never guessed this to happen. I especially remember her kindness to Gary in the wheelchair. She took time from her very busy day to feed him breakfast, bite by bite. (I read your registers at the fair for several years and Dick was a police officer there). God bless her soul and may God give you all peace! We will be praying for you! Dick and Linda
