Abraham Bashaw

SOUTHBRDGE: Abraham D. Bashaw, 73 of Charlton St. died Monday, July 16 at Harrington Hospital after a long illness.   He leaves his wife of 55 years Joan (Bisnette) Bashaw, his children, Debbie Parish and her husband Ken of Dennamora, NY, Ellen Hebert and her husband Lester of Southbridge, Sue Luukko and her husband Lauri of Spencer, Jerry Bashaw and his wife Joan of Pittsfield, Abraham Bashaw JR and his wife Lynn of Southbridge, Joseph Bashaw of New York, Joan Morin and her husband Bob of Brookfield 2 brothers Benjamin “Bub” Bashaw of Malone, NY, Ronald Bashaw of Rome, NY, 2 sisters Brenda McCray of Malone, NY, Gertrude Labrake and her husband Charlie of Lake Titus, NY, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, niece and nephews. Abraham was predeceased by his son Stephen Bashaw who died 5 years ago. He was also predeceased by his daughter-in-law Juanita Bashaw, a brother Francis Bashaw, 3 sisters Janice Gervais, Carolyn Bashaw and Diane Santillo. He was born in Malone, NY the son of the late Benjamin and Rose (Dione) Bashaw and lived in the Southbridge area many years. He retired from Russell Harrington Cutlery. Abraham was in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Southbridge. He enjoyed country western music. His funeral will be held at 10:00AM Friday, July 20th in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Charlton St. Southbridge.
