Barbara Ann Nevin

Barbara Ann Nevin, age 96, passed away peacefully and joyfully on September 17, 2023, surrounded by family.
She leaves behind five wonderful and caring daughters, three grateful sons, and all their partners, Theresa Nevin, Tammy and John Hageman, Paula Peterson, Martha and Tom Eng, Jeff Nevin and Angela Ross, Bob and Libby Nevin, Dave and Nancy Nevin, Sarah and Bill Unger. She also leaves behind 24 beautiful grandchildren and 27 adorable great grandchildren.
Barb was active in the Catholic Church, her Glenn community, the Sisters of the Poor Clare, her contemplative women's group, and her large and diverse family, until the last days of her life. She loved her barn, that was always a part of her, where she created paintings, pottery and poetry. She loved every single day, and was a positive force to everyone who crossed her path. She was filled with grace and humility, love and FUN,
She will now be together in heaven with her parents, Dwight and Kay Thomson, her sister Susie Torgerson, her brother Dick Thomson, her son Tommy Nevin and the love of her life, Robert Nevin, who she was happily married to for 71 years.
Barb will be most remembered for her spiritual faith, which was non judgmental, all inclusive, and always focused on reaching out to others. Her love and dedication to her family and to all her special friends, and to those people she touched, whether through serving communion, reading of scriptures at church, or sitting by the bedside of the sick and lonely to give comfort and friendship.
A special thank you to the Glenn, mom's last home, and to her hospice nurse's, and mostly to her family, who watched over her, cared for her and were with her to the end.
Mom taught us how to live, how to accept, how to adjust, how to laugh, how to dance, how to cry and finally, how to die - all with grace, laughter, acceptance and an incredible spirit, that will live on within us forever.
Mom, Thank you for a life well learned, well lived and well loved. We will miss you, love you, and be forever grateful for you.
