Barry Patterson Obituary
Barry Lynn Patterson, born October 14, 1962, passed away on July 28, 2024. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 38 years, Melissa Jones Patterson; his cherished daughter, Mallory Patterson Dike; son-in-law and friend, Joey Dike; his loving daughter-in-law, Becca Patterson; and his two precious grandchildren, Mildred Ann Patterson and Clayton Drake Patterson. He is also survived by his mother, Wilma Terry Bradford; sister, Tina Patterson Terry (Davy); and brother, Rodney Patterson. Barry is preceded in death by his beloved son, Clayton Lynn Patterson; father, Alton Mac Patterson; and brother, Benny Lee Patterson.
Barry embodied the strength and roughness of a cowboy with a heart of gold for helping others. He was a dedicated and loving family man. He was a light in our community and a remarkable Daddy and Papa. Through his testimony and faith in Jesus, we find comfort knowing he has been reunited with our beloved Clay, and we have the blessed hope that we will see them both again.
Pallbearers are Davy Terry, Darrell Jones, Jody Jones, Keith Terry, Toby Jones, Bill Barrett, Bart Fleming, Larry Proctor, Wesley Gatlin, Shonn Proctor, Zach Wilson, and Caleb Beason.
Barry's graveside service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Moreland Cemetery/New Home Baptist Church with Bro. Toney Pepper officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
