MERRY HILL, NC – Brian Keith Lassiter, beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away tragically on September 21, 2023, at the age of 47 in Merry Hill, North Carolina. He was born on April 29, 1976, in Ahoskie, North Carolina.
Brian was a hardworking man who dedicated his career to being a skilled carpet installer. Throughout his life, he had a zest for making others smile and brightening their day with his quick wit and jokes. He found joy in hunting and fishing, embracing the beauty of nature.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Jamie, as well as his two mothers, Angela Harrison of Chesapeake and Frances Lassiter of Aulander and his father, Steve Hoggard. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Lassiter. He is also survived by his siblings, Bill Lassiter and wife Lori of Aulander, Steven Lassiter and wife Nancy of Aulander, and Shelby Nixon of Rocky Hock. In addition, he leaves behind his half-brothers, Brian and Daniel Hoggard. Brian's memory will also be cherished by his nieces and nephews, Keith Lassiter and wife Lauren of Aulander, Sarah Roebuck and husband Josh of Plymouth, Melissa Nixon of Rocky Hock, Nichole Bradley of Aulander, and Noel Adams of Aulander. His best friends, Corey Ballance and Darrell Hughes, will forever hold him dear in their hearts. Numerous extended family members and friends will also remember Brian with fondness.
A visitation to honor Brian's life will take place on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel in Ahoskie, NC. Following the visitation, a celebration of life graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm at Job Cemetery in Aulander, NC, with Reverend Corey Ballance officiating.
