Carolyn Yarbrough Obituary
Pastor Carolyn Faye (Brown) Yarbrough was born December 28, 1950, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Curry Brown and Dorothy Lee Goodlow. She attended Washington High School in El Dorado, Arkansas, and received a Business degree from South Arkansas College.
Pastor Carolyn married Eddie in 1986. After retiring from Murphy Oil Corporation, Pastor and Bishop Eddie later opened Lasting Impressions Florist. For over 20 years, they enjoyed custom floral designs and dress clothes. As entrepreneurs, they employed several community members upon obtaining a federal 5-year smoking cessation grant.
Pastor Carolyn's creative spirit extended beyond her floral designs. She found joy in teaching others to play the piano, nurturing young talents, and immersing herself in the beauty of music.
Pastor Carolyn and Bishop Eddie Pastored Evergreen Baptist Church (2016) until they retired.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children: Rebecca (Captain James) Sullivan of Tennessee, Darin Thurman Sr. of El Dorado, Addrenna (Marvin) Latham of Georgia, and Tangy (Phillip) Ford of El Dorado, Mark (Theresa) Yarbrough of California.
Ralph A. Brown (deceased), Dr. Renee J. Calvert of Georgia, Robert A. Goodlow of Michigan, Minister LuCretia D. Goodlow of Georgia, Syricus (Syracuse) D. Goodlow (deceased) Sonia L. Pulliam (Overseer Thomas A. Pulliam, Sr.)
Carolyn leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
