Barbara Jean Yarbrough

Barbara Jean (Barganier) Yarbrough passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 85.
Born in Marlin, Texas on September 11, 1940, to Tom and Nannie Mae Barganier, Barbara will be remembered for her sweet and kind nature, her love of music, sewing, baking and gardening. She was devoted to her husband of 60 years, Jack Yarbrough, who passed away in 2018.
A true caregiver at heart, Barbara always found time to care for anyone ill and dedicated her life to her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and beloved pets.
Education was always important to her. While raising children, Barbara attended classes at UT Arlington, Baylor University and earned her associate's degree at McClennan Community College.
Barbara is survived by her three children: Leigh Hedderman, Laura Staves and Sam Yarbrough, her four grandchildren: Margaret Hedderman, Courtney (Staves) Anderson, Tucker Staves, and Luke Yarbrough, her two great-grandchildren: Chase Anderson and Kailor Anderson, and her sister: Joyce Siebert.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Morada Senior Living and Scott & White Hospital of Temple for their excellent care during her final days.
A memorial service will be held on November 22 at 1:00 PM at Venue 1907 @ The Old Store Westphalia, 712 SH 320, Lott, TX 76656.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or the American Humane Society (www.AmericanHumane.org).
