Celina J. Boucher

Celina J. (Krawczuck) Boucher, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. Celina was predeceased by her devoted husband, Rene' E. Boucher, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage until his passing in 2011. She was born on March 24, 1947 in Providence, RI to the late Peter and Mary (Bucci) Krawczuck Sr.
Celina dedicated a significant part of her life in service to the community, working for the State of Rhode Island in the Garrahy Judicial Courthouse. She served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children, displaying compassion and commitment to ensuring the welfare of the young ones under her care. Her dedication extended to her role as a Constable at the Kent County Courthouse. Celina eventually returned to her passion for CASA, where she eventually retired.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Celina was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary Group of Club Frontenac in West Warwick. Her involvement in the community showcased her desire to make a positive impact and connect with others.
Celina's love extended to all animals, particularly her Greyhound dogs, Sundown and Max, who were more than pets – they were cherished companions that brought joy to her life. She found delight in the simple pleasures of life, relishing moments at the beach, enjoying the tranquility of Buttonwoods park in Warwick, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family.
Those who knew Celina will remember her as a woman with a strong and vibrant personality. Beneath her exterior of strength was a heart that cared deeply for others. As a mother, Celina was loving and nurturing, and she embraced her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother with warmth and enthusiasm.
She is survived by her son Scott Boucher, Sr.; four grandchildren: Kerri Gemma, Scott Wright, Scott Boucher, Jr. and Breanna Boucher; four great-grandchildren: Austin, Eleanor, Ensley and Eveyanna. She is also survived by her two sisters Debbie and Carol.
Calling hours will take place at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 E. Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI on Friday, January 26 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. All other services will be private.
