Clarence Otto Reeves, age 89 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home with his daughter by his side. On June 28, 1932, he was born in Marion to the late Clarence Otto Reeves, Sr., and Ida (Tharp) Reeves, and on April 11, 1953, he married his late wife, Charlene (Oiler) Reeves.
Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Army, and he worked at Eaton Manufacturing for over 30 years.
Our Dad, Peanut, had a quick wit and great sense of humor. He grew up in Marion and had many friends. Upon meeting him, he instantly became your friend. To know him was to love him. He adored his family, was fair minded, and fun to be around.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing golf, and loved to play Euchre. He loved the Buckeyes, westerns, and National Geographic shows. We will miss him dearly. He was the best Dad and Grandpa any family could ever have.
He is survived by his daughter Pam (Howard) Levett; his son Steve (Lisa) Reeves; his grandchildren Stephanie Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Emily (Dustin) Boggs, and Brent (Alisa) Reeves; and his great-grandchildren Eli Boggs, Owen Boggs, Alex Boggs, Finna Reeves, and Lewynn Reeves.
He was preceded in death by his wife Charlene Reeves, his parents Clarence and Ida, his brother Everett Reeves, and his sister Jean Taylor.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11 am at Marion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Promedica Hospice.
