Daniel Barrett

DANVERS- Mr. Daniel P. Barrett, 62 of Danvers, beloved partner of Kathleen Naples, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 13, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Dorchester, he was the son of the late Edward and Claire (Yetman) Barrett. He was raised in Dorchester and Weymouth and attended Weymouth South High School and Bridgewater State University.

Mr. Barrett had been employed with Broker Educational Sales and Training, Inc. as a Project Manager for over 20 years where he was known for this strong work ethic, his respect for his colleagues and was often sought after for his expertise in his field.

Danny was a good man who was devoted to his family. As a young man he always made sure his parents were taken care of and he loved the camaraderie of growing up in a large family; he and his siblings shared many competitions and activities over the years and later their children joined the fun. He was always involved and supportive of his brothers, sisters and nieces and nephews.  He was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his sons, he was very proud of their many accomplishments, and was truly happiest when they were together. He loved to travel with his beloved Kathy and was a member of the Massachusetts Miata Club, where every outing was an adventure. Danny had an out going personality with an easy smile, respect for others was inherent to his nature and he will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

Surviving Danny, in addition to his companion Kathy, are his sons, Brett Barrett and Kyle Barrett both of Boston, his siblings, Denise DiLorenzo and her husband George of Middleton, Janice Fagan and her husband James of Duxbury, Cindy Ferrucci and her husband John of Hingham, Edward Barrett of Highland Beach, FL and Paul Barrett and his wife Kelly of Salem and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A private funeral Mass will be held at a later date. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell – Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Daniel's memory to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
