DANVERS – Ms. Patricia A. (Ayer) LaPointe, 84 of Danvers, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Saturday, October 11th, 2025 at Salem Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in Lewiston, Maine, Patricia was the daughter of the late Archibald Ayer and Margaret (Carr) Gott. She was raised and educated in Lisbon Falls, Maine, and moved to Massachusetts with her family as she began to start her own.
As a working mother, she devoted over 27 years to OSRAM Sylvania in Salem and Danvers, where she worked as an assembler manufacturing incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs. Through her tenure at Sylvania, Pat worked various jobs, working her way up to relief operator until the time of her retirement. After that, she worked in the office at Summit Estates in Swampscott, where she enjoyed connecting with her coworkers and residents. In her later years, she found joy in her retirement job at Costco, where she delighted in offering samples and sharing smiles with all who crossed her path.
Known for her grace and enthusiasm on the dance floor, Patricia and her partner captivated audiences with her effortless mastery of country dance. Her love for the art took her all around the North and South Shore, where she embraced friendships and created cherished memories through her passion.
A lifelong Red Sox fan, Patricia found joy in the game of baseball as she did in dance. Above all else, Patricia's devotion to her family was unwavering. As a mother, she poured her heart into raising her children, and later embraced the joy of being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her playful spirit and unwavering support nurtured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all their endeavors, never missing a chance to cheer them on from the sidelines, reminding them of the importance of family and the joy of being a kid at heart.
