Debra Lee Morgan

HERKIMER – Debra Lee Morgan, 67, formerly of Herkimer and currently residing in Orlando, Florida, passed away on March 20, 2023, in Orlando.
She was born on August 22, 1955, in Herkimer, NY, a daughter of the late Edmund A. and Marise D. (Wilcox) LaPorte. She graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1973. Deb's marriage of over 45 years was to Dennis J. Morgan, wed May 7, 1977, in Herkimer.
Deb was a switchboard operator with Montgomery Ward, worked with Spencerport schools, was a library director, an office manager for her husband's business and bookkeeper at a marine dealership. She was so proud of Williamsburg Friends of Animals, Orlando, Florida, established in 2007 and still in operation.
Survivors include her beloved family: husband, Dennis; mother-in-law, Janet Morgan-Hyer, of Mohawk, NY; daughters, Nikki LaLonde, of Florida and Kelly Dunham (Michael), of California; a brother, Don Hadcock, of Utica, NY; grandchildren, Alexis Linder, Olivia Linder, Peter Dunham and Morgan Dunham; in-laws, Denise Rando, of Mohawk, NY and Donald Morgan (Helen), of Florida; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Brian and his daughter, Michelle Ann LaPorte; and brother-in-law, David Morgan; and Arnold Hyer.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon, at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street, in Herkimer. Deb's funeral will commence at 12 noon, on Saturday, at the funeral home, after calling hours, with spring interment to be held at Calvary Cemetery, in Herkimer, NY.
Deb will be sincerely missed by all of us who loved her so much.
