Dorothy M. (Barlow) Bouchard, 99, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, July 26th, after a full and fruitful life dedicated to faith and family. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Bouchard, Sr.
Born in Meriden, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Margaret M. (Coyle) Barlow, she had lived in Warwick for most of her life. Mrs. Bouchard supported the efforts of the United States Military during WWII by working at Quonset Air Base. After the war, while raising five children, she became a solderer for A+Z Chain Company in East Providence for many years before her retirement. In her retirement, Dorothy dedicated her life to supporting her family and St. Rita's Parish. She was a dedicated St. Rita's Women's Club member and helped feed countless needy families through the parish food pantry.
Dorothy leaves her three children Margaret M. Misztal (Steven) of Pensacola, Florida, Joseph E. Bouchard (Jean), and Thereseann M. Friel (Hugh) of Warwick; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Thomas E. Bouchard and Francis J. Bouchard, Jr. The family would like to express their eternal appreciation for the great work and staff of Brentwood Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Facility and Beacon Hospice Care.
