Elizabeth Ann Lentz, 64, of New Salisbury, IN, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2023, surrounded by her family. She is now bound for glory and has traded her troubles for a crown.
Elizabeth was a kind soul, full of joy and love, and always ready to have fun and laugh. She was also a fighter, given countless health issues over the years. But she still continued to keep going, running the race of life the best she could. Now, as she walks with the Lord Jesus Christ and the loved ones gone before her, she is pain-free, happy, and washed clean.
Elizabeth was born on June 17, 1958, in Jeffersonville, IN, to the late George J. Lentz and Elsie W. Matheis. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1976, and attended Ivy Tech and IUS.
Elizabeth loved helping people, so her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse working at nursing homes and hospitals suited her well as she cared for people in their difficult times. But her passion was her family-her daughters, and her grandchildren, who affectionally called her Gaga.
Elizabeth was a member of Pfrimmer's Chapel Church in Corydon, IN. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as a worthy matron and District Deputy, and the Order of the Amaranth of Kentucky and served as royal matron twice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph McPeak; sister, Melissa Jane Kelley; and brothers-in-law, Phil Kelley and Alan Greer.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Rev. Kara (Robert) Bussabarger of Westfield, IN, and Amy (Wesley) Densford of Marysville, IN; significant other, Jeffery Owens of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Abagail Densford, David Densford, and Emma Bussabarger; sister, Rebecca Greer of Georgia; brothers, Jeffrey Lentz (Diane) of Arizona, and Daniel Lentz (Roxy) of Clarksville; several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, with Rev. Tim Johnson presiding. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, February 10, and Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home.
An Order of the Eastern Star service will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM, with the Order of the Amaranth of Kentucky service to follow immediately after.
