Eric Montgomery 57 of Bainbridge went home to be with his Lord, on February 26, 2024, while surrounded by his family at the Richard M Ross Heart Hospital at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born July 2, 1966, in Ross County to the late Russell and Patsy (Jenkins) Montgomery. On February 23, 1998, he married the love of his life Debbie Hatfield who survives.
Eric is also survived by their daughter Libby (Dwayne) Cook of Virginia; two grandchildren Dylan Cook and Myiah (John) Bonds of Virginia; two precious great grandchildren that he absolutely adored Jax and Jolie Bonds; sisters Vedarena (Todd) Elliott of Greenfield, Jennifer (Brian) Howell of Chillicothe, Karen (JR) Olejasz of West Virginia; one brother Jimmy (Lori) Allman of Athens and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved.
Eric was one half of Montgomery Surveying with his father, and he also worked in construction, but his passion was farming. He loved being outdoors working with the animals and living a simple life, gathering with family and friends. He also loved to hunt and golf. Eric loved big and his heart was bigger, he would help anyone in need so much so that he gave the ultimate gift of organ donation.
