Flautilla Fiorina Iacobelli

Flautilla Iacobelli Born to Concetto and Loreta DeCarolis on February 4, 1939, in Vicalvi, Italy, peacefully passed away at home on December 20, 2024, at the age of 85, with loving family by her side.
Flautilla was the beloved wife of the late Celeste, whom she missed dearly. Theirs was a caring and enduring love affair that took them through this life's long journey together. They were inseparable, and were especially fond of spending time together sharing old memories, and tending to their beautiful gardens. Of course, there was always time to hear Celeste play his favorite accordion music.
Flautilla was the devoted mother of Joseph, Maria, and Michael (Jeanie). She was very proud of being Nonna to her adored grandchildren Alexander and Andrew, and her face would always light up when she saw them. Dear sister of Antonio (Mary) DeCarolis, and Frank DeCarolis. Sister-in-law of Gemma Pallagrossi. She was also a loving "Zia" to many nieces and nephews.
Flautilla arrived in the United States as a teenager, learning the new language and customs while always holding on to her Italian roots. She entered the workforce at Beaumont Hospital, later at the Waterford Training Institute, and always by her husband's side as they worked together growing a construction business. She did this while raising three children, and making many meaningful friendships. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, crossword puzzles, and family get togethers. Later in life, she enjoyed volunteering at the OPC, where she cherished her friendships.
Flautilla, and her warm smile, will be deeply missed by her family, and all who knew and loved her. She will never be forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Visitation on Friday, December 27th, from 3-8pm at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., (Shelby) 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. The Funeral will be on Saturday, December 28th, Instate from 10:30am until time of 11am Mass at St. Mary of the Hills Roman Catholic Church, 2675 John R Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.
