Frances Eleanor Ferry Yarbro, 77, of Woodbury, Texas entered into the arms of her Savior on December 24, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Frances was born on September 17, 1946 to Elmer and Lavern Ferry in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the fourth of five children. She attended Maypearl High School where she, at her small stature of five foot, was a pistol on the basketball court.

In 1963, Frances married H.B. “Buddy” Yarbro in Itasca, Texas. They had three children, Tony, Wade, and Belinda. Frances was a homemaker first, but also held various jobs over the years from sewing to banking. One of her favorite jobs was working at the Cowpasture Bank in Rio Vista, Texas.

In 2005, she retired and spent her time with Buddy, her children and grandchildren. Anyone who knew her, knew she loved her family and her church. She attended Chisholm Trail Church in Rio Vista, Texas, where she was known to all as “Nanny.”  She loved big and just wanted to make everyone that she came across feel special and even more, she wanted them to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Loretta Collins, her son-n-law, Kevin Williams, and her husband, Buddy.  She is survived by her brother, Anthony Ferry, and sisters, Lavern Glover and Paula Shaw, and her children, Tony and wife Kim of Azle, Wade and wife Pamela of Woodbury, Belinda and husband Monte of Rio Vista. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Colton and wife Erica, Hannah and husband Cole, Caiden, Ty, Emma, Taybi, Kylee and Coby, and four great grandchildren, Micah, Gideon, Arwen, and Molly.

Services will be held at 11am on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Chisholm Trail Church, 7707 CR 1208, Rio Vista, TX 76093.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chisholm Trail Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1102, Cleburne, Tx 76033.
