Gary Scott Bamber, 70, passed away on June 27, 2024, in Tempe, Arizona. Born on September 29, 1953, in Riverside, California, Gary led a life marked by devotion to his family and a passion for the great outdoors.
Gary proudly served in the Army from June 1971 to November 1973, dedicating himself to his country during his years in service. His military life was spent in various capacities, reflecting his commitment and discipline, which he carried into his civilian life.
An avid outdoorsman, Gary found peace and enjoyment in bird hunting, specifically dove and quail, and was an enthusiastic camper and fisherman. His later years were joyfully spent traveling to Texas, where he cherished time on the lake and the simple pleasure of sightseeing.
At home, Gary was a beloved figure, known for his warmth and the profound joy he took in his family gatherings, especially those involving his grandchildren. Whether it was a birthday party or a family cookout in Kearny, Florence, or Apache Junction, he reveled in these moments, often expressing that the best times were those spent with loved ones.
Gary is survived by his brothers, Danny Bamber and Rusty Hills; his children, Ryan Bamber and her children Jayden and Avery Tucker; Kent Bamber, his wife Melinda, and their children Raelynn, Emberly, and Kylieann; and Anna Day, her husband Justn, and their children Erianna, Lane, Jaxon, and Rena. He was preceded in death by his Father Archie Bamber, Stepmother Peggy Joe Bamber, Mother Audrey Linde, and Sister, Donna Bamber.
Legacy Funeral Home in Chandler, Arizona, is assisting the family during this time. Gary's life and legacy will be remembered for his profound love for his family, his service to his country, and his zest for life's simple pleasures.
