George Bougas Obituary
George Nicholas Bougas, 73, of Enfield passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Enfield, IL. He was born on September 13, 1950 in Greece, the son of Nicolas George and Eleftheria Bougas. George married Monica Zytnowski on November 6, 1983. He spent most of his life in the Chicago area and had worked as a cook and worked his way up to restaurant manager. George later went into Real Estate, starting as an agent and later as a broker before retiring as an appraiser.
George is survived by his wife of 40 years, Monica of Enfield; children, Julie Anderson, Jennifer Washington, Nick Bougas, Dimitrios G. Bougas, and Eleftheria Small; a sister, Tina Filippidis; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for George Bougas, 73, of Enfield will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Huck Finn Restaurant, 6650 S. Pulaski Rd., Chicago, IL 60629. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or online at www.donate.cancer.org Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
