Geraldine F. Henze

Geraldine Frances Henze, 90, most recently of Macomb Township, died Saturday, Aug. 19.
Beloved wife of the late Albert Henze for more than 60 years, Geraldine is survived by her son, Douglas (Diane) Henze and her daughter, Janis (David) Heinrich. Also surviving are grandsons Scott and Brett Henze and Christopher Heinrich and granddaughter Elizabeth Heinrich.
In addition to Albert, Geraldine was preceded in death by her mother, Almira Andrich, and by her father, Frank Flick.
Born in Jackson, Michigan, Geraldine was a resident of Shelby Township for nearly seven years. Previously, she lived in Southfield for more than 50 years.
While in Southfield, she was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, regularly attending services and serving as a prayer line volunteer.
The Southeast Michigan Women of the ELCA chose her as one of its honorees in 2016.
A homemaker for most of her life, Geraldine enjoyed sewing and baking and could often be found working a crossword puzzle. She also worked as a clerk for several companies, including Cunningham Drug, Fanny Farmer and Truan's Candies.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 9 AM until an 11 AM funeral service at Wasik Funeral Home, Inc. 49150 Schoenherr Rd., (N of 22 Mile) Shelby Twp. MI 48315. Interment will take place at Parkview Memorial Cemetery.
