Glenn Myron Anderson

Glenn Myron Anderson, 87, Park Rapids, MN passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Park Rapids.
Glenn was born January 6, 1936 in Ada, MN to Norman and Mary (Thompson) Anderson. He grew up in Ada and graduated from high school in 1953. He attended Concordia College and Luther Seminary. He served as a Lutheran Minister in Minnesota parishes in Puposky, Glyndon, Battle Lake and Lake Park.
On August 9, 1959 he was united in marriage to Audrey Loken. They had 4 children, Ted, Hans, Kari and Pete.
In 1979 Glenn started his construction company, G.M.'s New Creations and built over 40 log homes and conventional built homes as well as creating church art that can be seen across the country. Glenn had a passion for wood carving.
Glenn was active in the communities in which he lived. In Park Rapids he was active at Calvary Lutheran Church, sang with the Classic Chorale, and helped orchestrate Hard Hat Ministries. Glenn was also a ventriloquist. He and "Soren" are well-known for spreading God's message as well as many laughs at mother-daughter and father-son events, churches, family reunions, nursing homes, etc. He will be greatly missed by many.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 64 years, Audrey Anderson of Park Rapids; his children, Ted (Laurie) Anderson of Audubon, MN, Hans Anderson of Brainerd, MN, Kari (Wendee) Harder of Ponca, NE, Pete (Jennifer) Anderson of Audubon; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mary Anderson; sister, Janis (Anderson) Eckhoff; 2 brothers, David and Nathan Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, MN. Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
