Gregory Griffin Obituary
ABILENE: Gregory Griffin, 59, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Dewey Cemetery.
Gregory was born on August 11, 1964 to Royce and Patricia Griffin in Merkel, Texas. Gregory grew up with one brother. He attended Abilene school, completed his GED, and became a general carpenter. His gift for carpentry landed him in the business of building custom cabinets for the past 16 years.
Gregory loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He loved them so much in fact, that he named his son Harley. When it came to motorcycles, Gregory liked them loud. For him, the louder the better. It was later in life that he found out he loved dogs as well. It was when a boxer that he named Spike rode into his life. Gregory found great comfort in spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Harley Griffin; mother, Patricia Griffin of Abilene; brother Rick Griffin and wife Lori of Blackwell, Texas; aunts Jean Coats of Franklin, Tennessee, and Jean Casey of Abilene; and a very special adopted daughter Taylor Bien of Abilene.
He is preceded in death by his father, Royce Griffin and uncles Tommy Coats, and Mike Casey.
Gregory will be dearly missed by the friends and family he leaves behind.
