Bob Payne passed from this life on Thursday, October 23, 2025. A private graveside service will be held for family and close friends.
Robert Owen (Bob) Payne was born September 30, 1942 in Granite, OK to Mildred (Bowles) and Clarence (Red) Payne.
Bob served in the US Army as M88 Tank Mechanic. He took that experience and spent many years working on cars and trucks and later as a Heavy Equipment Insurance Adjuster.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, and his brother Kenneth.
He is survived by his daughters Shelley (Bill) Mayfield and Kelley Pemberton, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his sister Elizabeth Brown.
The family would like to the thank the outstanding staff at Hendrick Medical Center Pulmonary Rehab for their care, support and friendship.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hendrick Hospice Care at 1651 Pine St. Abilene, TX 79601.
