Apostle H. Brown was born in Winnsboro, SC. He was called to preach under the late Bishop C.M. Grace in 1960 in Winnsboro, SC where he was the Assistant Pastor. In 1961, he married St. Jannie (Carr) Brown. They are the parents of five children; Dennis Brown (Pricilla) GA., the late Efford Timothy Brown; Anita, Horace Brown, Jr., Evelyn Brown both of Concord, the late Christopher Eric Brown, Angela, adopted daughter and Jewel Brown of Concord.
In 1962, Apostle Brown moved to Hartford, CT where he became the Assistant pastor under Apostle L. Hector. He Stayed there for about six years. Later, he and his family moved to Charlotte, NC where Daddy McCollough called him to pastor Greenville Mission; now called Charlotte #2. Greenville Mission became the top House of Prayer in the North Carolina District. Apostle Brown was made the chairman of the District of Charlotte and over nine Houses of Prayer. Apostle Brown stayed in Greenville for six years until Daddy McCollough told him he had searched the kingdom and he was the only one he could send to Buffalo, NY. He moved to Buffalo, leaving his family behind. Buffalo became the Chairman House of the Midwest under the leadership of Apostle Brown. He was the state chairman of the Midwest District.
After being there for five years, he was sent to Dearing, GA where he was the assistant chairman. After leaving Dearing, GA, Apostle Brown stopped preaching for about three years, but Daddy McCollough told him he had hid him away. He told Apostle Brown that he was a good man and we know what the Bible says about a good man "His footsteps are ordered by God". Apostle Brown was sent to Concord to pastor over 21 years ago and he remained there as a good Father to Daddy McCollough's Children. Daddy McCollough sent him a letter to join the General Council, where he served until Daddy McCollough passed away.
Apostle Brown was known in Concord, NC for his famous hot dogs and sweet tea. Let's not forget his amazing chili. People came from all over Concord to purchase his famous hotdogs. He was known as the Hot Dog Man.
He also leaves to cherish his precious memories: sister, Ellary Brown of Chicago; two brothers: Lester and Clyde of Atlanta and Florida; four sisters-in-laws, Betty of Buffalo, NY, Lavern of Charlotte, NC, Gail Commodore of Virginia, Betty Carr of Charlotte; one brother-in-law, Elder Samuel Carr of Charlotte, NC; eleven grandchildren: Ashley Bobga, Lauren Swaringer, Kendell Swaringer, Chontez Brown, Dontavius Brown, Maurice, Monique, Horace Timothy, Michael, Morgan, Taylor; eighteen great grandchildren: Britain, Quran, Jae Faith, Austen, Ayden, Madison, Makenzie, Kaneh, Harmony, Tamir, Noah, Tikyala, Ava, Gavin, Angel, Genesis, Ganyalh and Aziyah.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 4,2023 at Lamb Funeral Home 302 Broad Drive, Concord, North Carolina. Visitation is from 11am until 12pm. Funeral following at 12:00. Lamb Funeral Home, Inc. is serving the family.

My grandfather was one to celebrate. A true King of the gospel. He lived every word he spoke, and make no mistakes he told the TRUTH. Tell the truth is a statement he made that I would never forget. It will stay with me always. Love you grandad, you are forever in my heart.

I will never forget the memories and good times we had in Winnsboro SC at the House Of Prayer. We called him Horace growing up. He was faithful and attended service nightly. We loved him dearly. My condolences to the family. Love you guys so much.
