Hoyt Franklin Ray

Hoyt Franklin Ray, age 68, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 8:09 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 the result of a motor vehicle accident in Clark County, IL. He was born October 23, 1955 in Alton, IL the son of Donald Hoyt Ray and Elizabeth Ann (Lee) Ray.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Rardin of Fieldon, IL formerly of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Beth Ray (Tanner Wethington) of Edwardsville, IL and Taunja Puckett of Hillsboro, IL; sister, Maggie Dill of Martinsville, IL; half-brothers, Donnie Ray and Jimmy Ray; step-sister, Kathy Plummer (Michael) of Fieldon, IL; grandchildren, Kirsten Teague and Adelyn Wethington, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Donna Klein and grandson, Aaron Teague.
Hoyt graduated high school and worked for SIU Maintenance Department in the late 1970's and early 1980's. He later worked in construction and enjoyed working on cars.
At his request there will be no services. Inurnment will be in Bluegrass Cemetery, Martinsville, IL at a later date.
