Jalen was born in Asheville, North Carolina October 15, 1996. He grew up in east Asheville and attended Bell Elementary and AC Reynolds High School. He currently lived in Spartanburg, SC.
Jalen was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He was passionate about about sports, loved to coach basketball and cheered for the Golden State Warriors. Jalen loved animals and loved to cook, especially a good shrimp boil. But most importantly, he loved his "brothers" and family!
Jalen is survived by a dedicated father, Michael Walker (and wife Meagan); mother, Claudiette Dubose; brother, Jarrett Walker; sisters, Jasmine Walker and Jamyla Lester; bonus brother, Lucas Peppers; loving aunt, Chandra Walker, Raleigh, NC; grandmother, Bessie Mae Walker, Cary, NC; nephews, Johan Ames and Jasir Hamilton; great aunt and uncle, Joyce and Lucien Green; special family friend, Raymond Gill; and many other family members, both biological and chosen.
Public visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm Monday, November 13, 2023 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral service will be 2:00pm also in the chapel.

All though I didn't know Jalen personally I definitely knew his father! We have been childhood friends since elementary school and he often talked about his children!
