Jerry was a member of Antioch Covenant Brethren Church and enjoyed packing lunches for those in need. Jerry was retired from Merillat, and stayed active by working a job outdoors, following his retirement. He loved hiking, hunting, and was known for being able to find lots of mushrooms in those mountains, other than with his family, being up in the mountains was his favorite place to be. Family was important to Jerry, a devoted husband for 58 years, a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, spending time with those people, either at family gatherings, during the holidays, or going on vacations, those moments were the highlight of his life. Jerry was a hard worker, he was energetic, full of life, and loved to laugh. Jerry loved the Lord, sharing his faith with his family was important to him. His strength and determination was proven, and he fought long and hard against his illness.
Jerry will be greatly missed, loved, and remembered.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Yankey, Hank Hoover Jr., Ramsey Hoover, Mike Kline, and Evan Manich.
The family will receive guests at the home on Tuesday, November 4th, between the hours of 6-8p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, November 5th, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Covenant Brethren Church and the viewing will be prior at 10 am.
