Born on March 9, 1957 in Wilmington, Ohio, Jimmy built a life rooted in hard work and simple joys. He worked as a truck driver and found great pleasure in traveling the open roads and taking in the beauty of the scenery around him. Known for his quick wit and playful spirit, Jimmy was a true jokester who brought laughter to those around him. He was also an avid fan of Kentucky football.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Gordon and Joyce Back; his stepfather, Kelly Clemons; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Everett and Ruby Johnson.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 48 years, Debra Johnson Back; his mother, Nellie Ritchie Clemons; his sons, Daniel Back (Lisa), Eric Back (Eleisha Asher) and Jesse Back; his grandchildren, Caitlin Danielle, Daniel Ray II, Hayley Elizabeth, Kylie Rae and Katelynn Alexandria and great-granddaughter Isabella Rose.
Visitation for Jimmy will take place on Monday, April 28, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. A funeral service celebrating Jimmy's life where family and friends will be invited to share their favorite memories of Jimmy during the service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Shawn Yates officiating. A private burial will follow at the family cemetery.
Jimmy's memory will live on through the many lives he touched with his humor, kindness, and love for life.
