John Kent Klein

John Kent "Porky" Klein, age 59, of Versailles, passed away August 29, 2024, at his home. He was born February 23, 1965, in Jefferson City, a son of Vincel Gene, Sr. and Mary E. (Zelsman) Klein.
On March 30, 1985, in California, Missouri, he was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Jan (Nichols) Klein.
John worked most of his life in agriculture related jobs. Most recently at Klein Tractor & Supply and Crown Power and Equipment.
He was a member of the High Point Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Jan, he is survived by his sons, Justin Klein and Jacob Klein both of the home; his mother, Mary Klein of Versailles; brothers, Gene Klein, Jr. and Kevin Klein both of Versailles; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Klein, Sr.
A celebration of John's life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Private family graveside services and inurnment will be held at John and Jan's farm. Memorial contributions are suggested to Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home.
