Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 10 to 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral will begin at 11 o'clock in the chapel.
Joseph was born on July 3, 1950, in Charleston, SC, son of the late Joe and Margie Dean. He loved being outdoors, listening to country music, Nascar, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: Children: Christina Gilbert (Lacey), Joseph Allen Dean; Stepchildren: Cristal Raposa-Zech (Jeffery) and Frederick Raposa, Jr.; Grandchildren: Aiden Gilbert, Ashley Tumbleston, Alison Drenning, Aiden Kimbel, Alyssa Raposa, Anna Raposa, Brady Raposa, and Tyler Robinson; 4 Great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five sisters, Shirley Clark, Gloria Ackerman, Marion Hilton, Joann Gray, Linda Barfield and two brothers, Henry (Bucky) Dean and William Dean.
