Judith "Judy" Lynn (Budd) Stevenson, 81, of Cumberland, passed away on August 22, 2024, at Allegany Health Nursing & Rehab.
Born July 1, 1943, in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Richard "Dick" Teague Budd, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth "Betty" (Schwalbach) Budd.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard "Rick" T. Budd, Jr.
Judy was a graduate of the American International School in New Delhi, India.
She retired from Long & Foster Real Estate, having been a licensed agent from 1982-2001. She belonged to the Cumberland Board of Realtors.
Judy was originally a member of Grace United Methodist, which merged with New Covenant United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Her greatest joy came from family events. She loved watching her grandkids in their sporting events as well as their other activities. Judy and Allan liked going for rides to look for wildlife, especially in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. For years, she enjoyed hosting Sunday family dinners at home-creating many wonderful memories.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Allan R. Stevenson; two children, Scott Stevenson and wife Terri, and Roxanne King and husband Richard; grandchildren, Chris King and wife Alex, Emily King (Danny), J.T. Stevenson (Jenna), Dan King (Lakin), and Allan Stevenson (Cayla); her brother, Donald Budd and Donna Tardiff; sisters-in-law, Donna Stevenson, Ellen "Snookie" Stevenson Davis, and Debbie Budd; and several nieces and nephews. Judy was also blessed with many special friends throughout her life.
Visitation at Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, on Monday from 5-8 PM.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the funeral home, with Rev. Janice Leith, officiating.
Interment will be in MSVC-Rocky Gap.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611.
